I am buying earrings as a gift, what style should I choose?

Are you looking for day-to-day earrings, or an statement pair? Day-to-day earrings tend to be studs, huggies or small to medium sized hoops, where as statement earrings tend to be drop or dangle styles or large hoops. People tend to have a preference for gold or silver too when it comes to their jewellery and earrings are no different. And gold, of course, comes in three shades: yellow, rose and white. The best advice we can give is to look at the styles the person wears already, and purchase something to compliment those - you can't go wrong with this method (famous last words)!

how to keep huggie earrings clean

How should I keep my earrings clean?

An occasional soak in warm water and a gentle soap is perfect, and a clean with a a soft tooth brush or similar. This method is particularly important for gemstone set earrings, which may not take too kindly to an ultrasonic cleaner. Rubbing alcohol on the posts every now and then can also help keep earrings clean.

Do you sell earrings for children?

Many of our stud earrings are dainty in design, and can be worn by both adults and children. Because we only sell gold and silver earrings, skin reactions are rare, and so our earrings are suitable for sensitive skin.

sleeper earrings and studs

I have newly pierced ears, how long should I wait to change out my original sleeper earrings?

Sleeper earrings can take the form of studs or small hoops, and are designed to be worn 24/7 following a piercing. The minimum time recommended is 3 months for lobe piercings, but 6 months may be more appropriate. Try to avoid fiddling with them or taking them off until the ear is healed, to reduce the risk of infection.

Most piercing studios these days use surgical steel sleep studs or hoops for first earrings, and we would recommend leaving these in until your lobes are very well healed. For cartilage piercings, this may take a year or longer.

What is your returns policy on earrings?

We ship our earrings in hygiene sealed bags. Provided you don't open that bag and remove the earrings, you can return them for a refund. Unfortunately earrings that have been removed from their hygiene bag cannot be returned.
