Women's Welsh Feathers Prince of Wales Signet Ring in Silver - Sterling & Wilde

Women's Sterling Welsh Feathers Signet Ring

£22.00

A solid silver women's signet ring; it has an oval face engraved with the Prince of Wales heraldic badge - three ostrich feathers emerging from a gold coronet. Prince Charles wears a ring of this style in solid yellow gold, and it's a very popular Welsh emblem, from military to rugby and beyond. A  bright and beautiful signet ring for women. We also stock a similar ring for me:

About the Welsh Feathers

Legends says that the emblem originated during the Hundred Years War, when the Black Prince (1330-1376), also Prince of Wales, took the helmet of vanquished John I of Bohemia. This was during the Battle of Crécy, and the helmet was was lined with ostrich feathers.
