A very pretty hamsa hand charm pendant, made from solid 9ct yellow gold and star set with a white cubic zirconia stone. The edge of the pendant has been finished with a beautiful beaded effect.

The chain in the photos (sold separately) is our delicate 9ct yellow gold 0.8mm curb chain.

Symbolism of the Hamsa

The Hamsa symbol transcends different cultures and religions, and has been worn and carried by humans for thousands of years. It is a protective symbol that offers blessings, power and strength. The Hamsa often incorporates the evil eye symbol (in this piece it's the white gem), to ward off people who mean us ill will.

Yes it probably will. Sterling silver and 9ct yellow gold both develop tarnish (the product of a chemical reaction), and this can happen quite quickly or slowly over time. Tarnish can look dark, discoloured or patchy and sometimes like a top layer of the metal is coming away - be assured it is not.

Tarnish tends to happen most quickly when the jewellery comes into contact with:

• Moisture
• Chlorine / Pool / Hot Tub Chemicals
• Shampoos/Body Wash
• Sun Cream
• Perfumes, Moisturisers & Cosmetics
• Household Cleaning Products
• Insect Repellent
• Perspiration & Humidity (this one can be difficult to avoid)

Light tarnish can be removed effectively from sterling silver and 9ct yellow gold with a dedicated dry polishing cloth and we recommend the Town Talk brand. They have cloths for silver and gold.

If the tarnish is heavy or stubborn, a clean with a Cape Cod fine metal polishing cloth first (these are wet), followed by the dry Town Talk cloth afterwards, can work wonders.

Always clean your jewellery gently and sparingly. Never polish plated jewellery - clean with a microfibre cloth only. Treat white gold as plated jewellery and be cautious with rose gold. Sterling silver plated in rhodium will also not polish well.

Orders over £50 are shipped FREE. Orders under £50 are shipped at a cost of £2.95. Your order will be sent via Royal Mail - either tracked or special delivery.

USA & EU ORDERS

We ship to the USA and select countries in the EU via DPD (we no longer offer slower airmail options) for £15. Allow about a week for your item to arrive, but note that customs checks can sometimes delay your parcel - these are out of our control.

RETURNS

You can return your jewellery within 30 days for a full refund or exchange, except items we have engraved or altered for you. Return costs are your responsibility.

CHRISTMAS GIFTING

We extend our returns period at Christmas time. Items purchased from 1st Nov can be returned up to 15th Jan for a full refund or exchange, provided the item is unworn and in new condition. Again, engraved and altered items are excluded.

MULTI-BUY DISCOUNT

We keep our prices reasonable all year round, which means we can rarely offer discounts. However, if you add two or more pairs of earrings to your basket (or in the case of helix earrings, two or more single earrings), an automatic 5% discount will be applied with our thanks.

LOYALTY DISCOUNT
