Metal: Sterling Silver
Face Diameter: 1.3cm
Approx Weight: 4.6 grams
Hallmarked: No (under 7.78 grams)
This solid sterling silver men’s signet ring features the Prince of Wales heraldic badge — three ostrich feathers emerging from a gold coronet. Elegant and full of meaning, it’s a symbol deeply connected with Welsh pride and heritage, worn from the battlefield to the rugby pitch. The design mirrors the ring famously worn by Prince Charles, traditionally crafted in yellow gold.
About the Welsh Feathers
Legend tells that the emblem originated during the Hundred Years War, when the Black Prince (1330–1376), then Prince of Wales, took the helmet of the defeated John I of Bohemia at the Battle of Crécy. The helmet bore a plume of ostrich feathers, which later became associated with the Prince’s title and remains one of the most recognised Welsh emblems today.
