A beautiful cartilage/helix stud earring, dainty and designed as a gold crescent moon with a small cubic zirconia stone as a star. The earring has been made from solid 9ct yellow gold. While it is designed for the upper cartilage of the ear, it can also be worn in the upper lobe, but do check the post is long enough for your requirements before ordering. You can view more cartilage earrings here.

Previously I mentioned that I was unhappy with the design of the single ear studs. Sterling and wilde have been in touch and a resolution found. Great customer service 10/10
Hi Fiona - so sorry to read you were disappointed with the helix studs. There is no doubt that earrings of this size and style are going to be fiddly, but we sell a lot of them and generally people get them in OK. Bar length is important, and we have chosen this length because it suits most upper ear piercings. A bar that is too long and not a snug fit will cause the stud to move at an angle when we sleep, causing a settled piercing to get irritated and eventually the hole to settle at an angle. Longer bars are recommended for new piercings that still swell, or other areas of the ear. We publish the bar length on the product page to help people with their decision making. In terms of front/back - we did consider getting front threaded studs, but the odd shapes of our studs (moons, crosses etc) would have made them near impossible to do up. And possibly painful too, turning at 360 degrees against the outer rim of the upper ear. So this design makes the most sense and generally works, but I do understand the frustration when it doesn’t! You are welcome to return both earrings to us for a full refund, and I would have offered that had you contacted me directly rather than leaving a public review. We always do our very best here to keep customers happy (within reason). Kindest regards, Abigail
