Size: UK L
Age: 1911-12
Material: 9ct Gold
Marks: Full Chester Hallmark
Weight: 1.58 grams
Principal Stone: Moss Agate
Principal Cut: Cabochon
Case: Modern Ring Box

An absolutely delightful antique ring, made just at the end of the Edwardian era in 9ct gold with a delicate shade of rose. The ring is set with a single moss agate cabochon, and is an unusual yet quirky find from times past.

Moss agate is a form of chalcedony distinguished by its beautiful, moss-like inclusions that seem to grow organically within the stone. Usually translucent with green, brown or earthy patterns, no two pieces are ever the same. Long associated with growth, abundance and new beginnings, moss agate is thought to bring balance and a sense of calm, making it a meaningful choice for those who feel connected to the natural world.

The ring has a maker's mark of (what looks like) JH, and clear Chester hallmarks, all on the inner shank. The tapered band is solid and sturdy with plenty of life left, and the beautiful moss agate stone is securely bezel set on top.

A lovely little piece of history and especially suited to someone with unique jewellery tastes, or who likes collecting one-of-a-kind antiques.

Important note: the vintage ring case you can see in the photos is one of our props and is not being sold with the ring. Also, we do not offer ring resizing.
