Signet Rings - Your Guide
What are signet rings?
Signet rings feature a flat face, traditionally carved with family crests for stamping wax seals on documents. The word comes from Latin 'signum' and signet rings date back to ancient times - even mentioned in the Book of Genesis as worn by Pharaoh.
Modern signet rings
Once symbols of power for nobility, today's signet rings are fashionable accessories. They're worn as membership symbols for schools or groups, or simply as stylish statement pieces.
Gold vs silver
Both metals are durable and long-lasting - budget usually decides. Gold is much more expensive per gram and gold signet rings, especially heavy ones, can be very pricey.
Engraved options
Plain polished faces are trending, but engraved styles remain popular. Half-engraved, half-polished designs offer classic, vintage appeal. We stock rings with manufacturing engravings but don't offer custom personalisation.
Which finger?
Signet rings work on any finger! Often worn as pinky rings in smaller sizes or on ring/index fingers in larger sizes.
